I feel grateful to have lived a fruitful and adventurous life thus far.
I was born and raised in a small suburban town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. In many ways my life really began upon becoming a United States Marine shortly after graduating high school. The Marines provided me with many opportunities to include the cultivation and development of leadership skills at a young age, extensive travel, coping with uncertainty, and the beginnings of my academic education in the form of a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, an associate’s degree from The University of Maryland, an undergraduate certificate in Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Federal Communications Commission certification.
Since my start in the Marines I have held technical and leadership positions in aerospace and defense companies as well as a venture backed consumer electronics firm. During this time I had also had the opportunity for continued academic and professional education to include graduate degrees in systems engineering and business from The Johns Hopkins University. Most recently I was the Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of a private consumer products firm where I led an executive team. This company was funded by outside investors and had achieved global sales. We had literally taken a previously non-existent idea, formed a company around it, filed intellectual property, secured investors, and went to market in under one year. Subsequently we had built out a manufacturing facility and transitioned to volume production to accommodate growing sales.
In terms of personality, recently I had taken an archetype test which designated me as a Alchemist/Innocent which seems to sum up my personality well. Throughout my life I have undergone many transformations and am skilled in the art of transformation in terms of taking something that exists, breaking it down to its essence, and recombining it in a way the recreates it in a more perfect manner. The Innocent part of my personality believes in a utopian type world and understands that life need not be complex nor difficult. There is an underlying simplicity and purity in all things, we just need to get to it and bring it to light.
This lifetime of knowledge, experience, and learning has led me to my current chapter in life where I am creating a transformative coaching process to help others find and follow their own unique, destined, path.
